Coronado Pediatric Dentistry is designed to make children feel comfortable and excited to visit the dentist. Patients love our space-themed office, and especially enjoy playing on the iPads in the reception area’s “Saturn” planet room and watching movies on mounted screens above each station. This is definitely not the dentist office you visited as a kid, unless you’re like some of our former patient parents that have returned with their own children to visit Dr. Dixon and his staff! We are very proud that families have put their trust in us for over 40 years.

The stellar office design is equally matched by our out-of-this-world team of professionals. Our experienced and friendly front office team will take time to help you with any scheduling or insurance questions.

And during your child’s dental exam, our doctors and caring clinical staff will thoroughly discuss important milestones, proper cleaning techniques, and diagnoses at each stage of development.

Your children have unique dental needs, and our pediatric dental practice is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for babies, toddlers, tweens and teens. While maintaining a fun and engaging environment, you can trust that our entire staff is specifically trained in the treatment of children and also those patients with special needs.

SCHEDULING

WE DO OUR BEST

We do our best to schedule appointments at your convenience. Siblings are scheduled together whenever possible because we know your time is valuable. We recommend scheduling preschool children in the morning when they are well-rested and at their best for their visit. We understand the need to keep school absences to a minimum, but please be aware that the nature and extent of some treatment may require appointments to be scheduled during school hours.

We have a 48 business hour notice of cancellation policy. Appointment times are reserved exclusively for your child, so advanced notice of a need to cancel gives us the opportunity to offer the time slot to another patient. We recognize that illness and unexpected circumstances arise, but we would appreciate your cooperation with our policy when possible. We are not open on Fridays and most Saturdays, so this is especially important for Monday appointments.

You may download, print, and complete our patient forms prior to your visit, or if you prefer to complete them in our office, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out the necessary paperwork.

FINANCIAL INFO / INSURANCE

PAYMENT INFORMATION

Payment is due on the date of service. We accept cash, personal checks, debit and credit cards. We work directly with and accept most PPO insurance plans. Our experienced and knowledgeable team will help maximize your insurance benefits, but please be prepared to pay any co-pays or deductibles that are not covered by your insurance plan and notify our office or any changes to your insurance before your appointment time. If treatment is diagnosed at your visit, we will review, discuss options, and have you sign and acknowledge a detailed treatment plan before moving forward.

We are proud to be a part of this strong military community in Coronado and are in-network with Tricare insurance in order to best serve our wonderful military families.
